Don’t you ever let a soul in the world tell you that you can’t be exactly who you are.

Hi, I am Jill (She/her/hers) and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California.
I have worked with a wide range of diagnosis, age groups, and cultures since 1998 and have been licensed since 2012.

Being a therapist doesn't mean that I got to forego life's trials and tribulations and in fact, most therapists have had personal experiences that have put us in the helping profession.

Due to my own experience of feeling like an “outsider,” struggling with generalized anxiety and social phobia, and spending my life as a caregiver to a family member with mental health challenges, I decided to get my Master’s in Counseling Psychology. I wanted to become the therapist I never had growing up. A therapist that I could trust could be vulnerable with, be my authentic self, and would be respected for my “weirdness.”

I will forever be “weird” and not “your average” therapist. In my free time, I am a parent to my three co-therapists—I mean cats—known as Alice, Bela, “little beans,” and Dexter, and a wife to a non-fur-ball husband. I am obsessed with Disney and Disneyland, anything related to Halloween and fall (Pumpkin spice everything!), and reading (got any good suggestions?).

Clinical Experience: During graduate school, I began working for the Support Network for Battered Women (now a division of the YWCA). During my time there, I worked with numerous women and children who survived significant trauma, including domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, and other traumatic events.

Upon leaving SNBW, I began my 10+ year career in community mental health as a case manager, therapist, and for the last 7 years, a manager with the largest outpatient team in Santa Clara County at Momentum for Mental Health. While in community mental health, I had the opportunity to work with a diverse client population ranging from adolescents (14-25) to adults (18-90) including individuals with chronic & severe mental illnesses, homelessness, mood disorders (depression/bipolar), psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, and complicated trauma. A large majority of my clients identified as LGBTQ+.

I have worked on and off in private practice since 2017 providing individual therapy to adults over 18, executive function coaching to adult males with ADHD, and individual therapy to students at Cogswell University of Silicon Valley.

Since 2014 I have provided licensed eligible therapists with individual and group supervision at Momentum for Mental Health, YWCA, Hope Services, and the E-Clinic at Palo Alto University.

I currently work via telehealth in my own practice, providing individual therapy. I am also a clinical supervisor at Hope Counseling Center, The Brown Therapy Group, and Palo Alto University E-clinic.
